Sulaiman S. Mehdi is the Chairman of the State Life Insurance Corporation and TPL Developments. He previously served as CEO of TPL Developments from March 2022 to August 2023, leading initiatives for the USD 100 million TPL REIT Fund-I. Before that, he was CEO of Cyan Limited, where he orchestrated a landmark restructuring of Central Insurance Company Limited in 2011.

With over 22 years in financial services and real estate development, Sulaiman has held key roles at PICIC DFI, Allied Bank, and ABL Asset Management. He is recognized for the strategic acquisition of HUBCO, yielding substantial gains in less than six years.

Sulaiman has also served as the youngest Chairman of the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) and held various chairmanships at Unity Foods Limited and Pebbles Ltd. He is a founding member of the Presidential Initiative for Artificial Intelligence and Computing (PIAIC) and serves as an Independent Director on multiple boards, including Bank Islami Pakistan Ltd. and Lucky Motor Corporation.

He holds a master’s degree and is a Fellow of the Institute of Corporate Secretaries of Pakistan (FCIS) as well as a Certified Director from the Pakistan Institute of Corporate Governance (PICG).
